Description

Princess Elena's journey began long ago when her parents and kingdom were taken from her by the evil sorceress, Shuriki. Elena bravely faced the sorceress to protect her little sister, Princess Isabel, and her grandparents. In the process, her magical amulet pulled her inside its enchanted jewel, saving her life but imprisoning her at the same time. While Elena is the rightful heir to the throne, she is only 16, and must learn to rule Avalor with the help of a Grand Council comprised of her Grandfather Tito, Grandmother Cici and Royal Advisor, Duke Esteban. With some magical friends by her side – Mateo, a wizard-in-training, and Skylar, a magical flying Jaquin – Princess Elena's adventures will help her understand that her new role requires thoughtfulness, resilience and compassion, the traits of all truly great leaders.

Congratulation one of the best TV shows we can see true love between two sisters and very valuable friendship, thanks this is what exactly we do really need.

It's funny, the characters are sweet, I love the princess Elena! She and her sister are awesome and adventure is at every corner! However, I hate the random singing. Sorry. And a new character every episode is excessive.

Really cute story. My 4 year old and I watch every episode. We love the music and often end up dancing along. The story lines promote honesty, problem solving, not judging etc etc etc. We are excited to watch the rest of the season as it comes out.
  • Finally!!

As the mother of a mix race daughter, it's so great to have a Latina Princess for my half Mexican daughter to look up too! We already bought the Princess Elena Halloween costume she loves it so much!
  • Not Sofia the First

Elena is an amazing princess who does not get everything she wants unlike Sofia the First and it is nice to have a princess with a different race. It is so funny I can sit through a whole episodes but when I watch Sofia I have to turn it off within five minutes.
  • An awful mess

Okay let me first say that I owe it to Disney to be honest, so this is my honest review. We love Sofia the first, because it is cute, good for kids and the show itself is in good hands- it is done well. A tv show, such as this one, or any movie is a failure when it fails to capture the audiences emotions and fails to make the audience care about what's happening. I found myself wanting to turn this off. I feel like Elena is a Disney princess we have seen several times before - the fearless optimist Anna from frozen wannabe characters have to stop. But that isn't the real problem here- this show set everything up in 3 minutes - they should have had a whole TV movie to set up the back story or at least the whole episode so we can appreciate Elena of Avalor. The producers just seem to think that we just care automatically - we don't. I love Disney and we buy every Sofia episode, and Elena will never be what Sofia has been to kids/family tv due simply to not connecting with the audience. And what's with this animation? I also can't even stand the way Elena moves! Everything about this show - even down to the way Elena walks is wrong. This show is an example of the fact that just a because a studio might spend millions of dollars and a year or two on a product doesn't mean it's gonna be a good one. Just keeping it real.
