Now that Chris (Daniel Kaluuya, Sicario) and his girlfriend, Rose (Allison Williams, Girls), have reached the meet-the-parents milestone of dating, she invites him for a weekend getaway in her parent’s home upstate. At first, Chris reads the family’s overly accommodating behavior as nervous attempts to deal with their daughter’s interracial relationship, but as the weekend progresses, a series of increasingly disturbing discoveries lead him to a truth that he could have never imagined.

    great writing, awesome movie

Other than the cliche ending, this is one of the most unique and well thought out suspense movies of the past decade. Now, if they only had an alternate ending where he actually kill the “bad guy” in the end instead of adding one last cheap thrill!!
  • Drag you until on the bitter stupid end...

Rented to watch on vacation. The number of “WTF” looks we shared was too numerous to count. Limited plot with anticipated results resulting. I’d rather watch paint dry.
  • Honestly one of the worst

This movie is extremely predictable and the content itself is bad. My girlfriend and I both said it is even worse than attack of the killer tomatoes.

Well written film! One of the best I have seen in recent times. Fresh take on suspense, like when I saw Sixth Sense.
  • Great, fresh, awesome.

    Great movie, worth watching.
  • Peele is a genius

Okay, I'm sympathetic to people who rated this low and didn't get it. But: Jordan Peele, you're a genius. Commentary on race? That's too simplistic. Maybe it's worthwhile to finally get to root for the black people in a movie that's not set up as a movie where you know ahead of time that you're meant to root for the black people. At least not for the reasons you'd expect. Touching, spooky, hilarious. Definitely not a ”horror” movie.
